The tradition of WPAs on the beautiful island of Hvar started in 2002, near the oldest Croatian city, Stari Grad, founded 2,500 years ago by ancient Greeks. The Greeks called it Faros, which means ‘light’. These WPA’s attracted hundreds of course participants, year after year, and we were delighted to revive this tradition again in 2012 with the European Young Meditators' Conference and many interesting courses on topics like AyurVeda, Brahma Sutras, Culture, Consciousness and Natural Law, and Aroma Therapy.

Come and enjoy deep knowledge and experiences, historic lectures by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, beautiful nature, crystal clear sea (still warm for swimming!), delicious food, and the blissful company of like-minded people from many different countries. Accommodation is at the Adriatiq Resort Fontana facing the rising sun above the Adriatic sea, a quiet location close to the old town of Jelsa, situated on the north side of the Island Hvar.

PRICES FOR HOUSING AND MEALS

Prices are per person (in Euros). Meals include lunch and dinner every day of your stay. Tourist tax is included in all prices. Warm milk is served at the end of each evening meeting. (Note: there is no refund for no-show on breakfast, lunch, or dinner).

When you have transferred your down payment please send an email to TM-Savez with the subject line: WPA Hvar. Mention the amount you transferred, the length of your stay, and your accommodation (single or double room).

Cancellation: If a written cancellation is received 44-25 days before the course starts, 70% of the advance payment will be refunded on request. If the cancellation is received 24-15 days before the start of the course, 50% will be refunded. If the cancellation is received 14-5 days before the start of the course, 30% will be refunded. There is no refund for cancellations 5-0 days before the start of the course (or for “no-show”).

THE COURSE LOCATION

The Island of Hvar is easily reached from Split by ferry to Starigrad (1 hour 40 min),
catamaran directly to Jelsa (30 min), and hydroplane from Split airport to Jelsa (15 min).
Split is the second biggest city in Croatia with an international airport.
Inexpensive flights to Split (or nearby Zadar) are available from many European cities.

The course location: Jelsa on Island Hvar is a sunny island town surrounded by great natural beauty – pristine beaches, fragrant pine forests, and crystal clear sea.

Resort Fontana is situated on a pinewood hillside near the sea, in the picturesque town of Jelsa on the Island of Hvar. The hotel settlement is open to the East and North.
Beautiful countryside, agreeable climate, numerous cultural and historical monuments, and beautiful beaches will enrich your course experience. The resort consists of small pavilions and all rooms and apartments offer a unique view and a perfect opportunity to relax. In the main building you will find the restaurant and course facilities. Reception is common for the whole resort and is situated on the top of the hill near the main road. It is a quiet road with parking place for guests cars. On the Resort there are no cars, only electric golf vehicles to bring your luggage to your pavillion.
The Resort offers bicycles for rent, either on an hourly or daily basis.
The pinewoods around the pavilions soften the heat of the day, but allow a lot of light to come in and create a pleasant atmosphere. In the resort and the surrounding it is always pretty quiet even when there are many guests. Everybody is saying ‘Good morning’ or ‘Good day’ and it really feels like living among good and friendly neighbours. For those who desire some change, it only takes a 10-minute walk along the seashore to reach the town of Jelsa.
